No way, you were so far from failing. It's an awesome picture. The contrast is very well done! Kudos! Good lineart too. And the color picture is very nice also.

I personally thought your use of contrast was very good. The lines are bold and sharp where it counts and it, together with the contrast, make the picture noticeable and effective.
